1. History The Turkish-American Association (TAA) is a long-established and prestigious non-governmental organization founded in 1951 and we have been offering Turkish and English language classes since then. At a later date, Spanish has been added to our language departments. Our Language School is approved and accredited by the Turkish Ministry of Education. With this approval, the Turkish Department in our Language School achieved a formal character of being a “TOMER”, which is the title officially accepted and used by Turkish and international authorities for “Turkish Teaching Centers”.
2. Mission of the Turkish Department Our general mission as the Turkish-American Association Language School is to develop the relations between Turkish cultures and other cultures and to create an environment which will enable the people of these communities to get to know and understand each other well.
