In general, TAA always assists the participants in finding homestay accommodation. Turkish families are usually willing to host female students of all ages and male students below 25 (or above 60) .Staying with a family is fun but has some limitations and there may be a curfew to some point.
Those who do not require to stay with a family / or for cases when a family is not available / may stay with single Turkish house owners (who are mostly our language students and teachers) who open their houses to international students. You may always expect to find breakfast but regular meals may not be served in those houses and there will be no curfew. This type of homestay is more like sharing a flat with one or two more friends.
Laundry, kitchen equipment and beddings are always available in all houses.
The monthly cost of homestay is around 550$ including meals; and 400$ without meals (B&B). Prices include hot water, electricty, gas, laundry and usage of kitchen and bedding equipment. But the house owner may charge the additional payment (not more than 75 $) for extra electricity and gas expense, especially in winter months
You may apply to the state or private dorms in Ankara with a letter you'll get from our school after your enrollment.
State dorms generally provide breakfast and dinner. Prices are very reasonable. (Monthly avarage is around 200-300$) However, you should agree to share your room with 3-5 more students. Beddings and towels are generally not provided.
Costs in private dorms are higher (Monthly avarage is around 600$) Breakfast and dinner is generally provided.
* Note that enrollment for a minimum period of 6 months is a requirement for the dorms and curfew is always applied.
* We can assist you with your accommodation only if you send us a request at least one month before your arrival date.
